Iran's Mapna Group and Negin Mokran Development Company (NMDC) signed a memorandum of understanding for construction of two CHP units.
The MoU envisages the construction of two MAP2A gas units with a total capacity of 340 MW in addition to two heat recovery boilers and ancillary equipment.
All equipment will be manufactured by Mapna Group, the company said in a statement, without adding further details on the project.
NMDC is developing the Mokran Petrochemical Complex in the Chabahar region of Iran, which is set to become Iran's third petrochemical hub, according to NMDC's website.
The MoU was signed between Abbas Aliabadi, CEO and chairman of Mapna Group, and Mohammad-Reza Movassaghinia, CEO of Negin Mokran Development Petrochemical Company, on the sidelines of the first International Summit for Presenting Investment Opportunities in Mokran Shores, which started January 23.
Development of financial and economic, oil & gas, transportation, urban, industry and mines, petrochemical, power, tourism and ecotourism infrastructure for the region were among the focal points of the summit, Mapna said.
